anglia square, norwich

Revamped plans by Centenary Ashcroft for Norwich's Anglia Square are soon to be considered. The £100m project is set to begin next year and will start with the demolition of the current multi-storey car park. The site will provide 200,000 square feet of retail space, including a major foodstore, and additional room for a hotel and further leisure facilities. The developers have also included 178 new homes of which 51 will be affordable housing.

The scheme will offer great employment opportunities for the northern area of the city and a much more attractive environment for those living in the region. If the application is successful, discussions will then focus on the improvement of the local transport infrastructure, developments of green space on Leonard Street and the renovation of St Augustine's Memorial Hall.

A public exhibition of the new proposal is being held next week to gather information and opinions on the design before the plans are submitted to Norwich City Council. For information on the exhibition please visit Calvert Square.
